Well, it’s a day. It’s hard to know which, since time has become like one long slur of molasses across the heavy granite slab that is life in quarantine. Here in Pennsylvania, heavy restrictions are still in place, and confusion and controversy are the order of the day. Life was hard before, but it is so much harder now. For many, restlessness is turning to hopelessness, fatigue to utter exhaustion, agitation to anger. We feel like ants under a magnifying glass – feelings are enlarged, and the heat is becoming lethal.
I can’t do this alone. I’m not meant to. And neither are you.
The first problem ever experienced by a human was loneliness. God said, “It’s not good for the human to be alone.” People NEED people.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.“
This is the most difficult time many of us have ever experienced. We are being knocked down daily by the challenges hurled at us. When we fall, we need someone to pull us up.
This week, find your people, or your person. Someone outside of your house, who is not getting knocked down at quite the same time that you are. That person needs you too. Together, you can withstand the attacks of daily life in a pandemic.
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12
I hope that this song playlist will remind you that you don’t have to feel alone, and that we are truly better together.

Thanks for the brilliance of your writing. Prayer for courage for me and all of us. For His Glory!
