When I was pregnant with my first son, I had the blessing of meeting a group of moms who introduced me to the strange and intriguing world of homeschooling. My public school experience was extremely negative, and my husband didn’t thrive in that setting wither, so when our first child reached kindergarten age, we chose to keep him home. From that point on, we took it year by year, each year weighing the benefits and challenges, and coming to the same conclusion. Homeschool is the best lifestyle choice for my family and now, 7 years in, we wouldn’t do it any other way! It’s definitely not the easy path, but for us, it has deeply immeasurable and far-reaching value for ALL of our lives. Every homeschool family has its unique story for why they chose this path, and I want to support and encourage those who are contemplating this for their own family.
